Three fixes, one flat fee.
Turning a small or low-resolution image into something that holds up at print size. There are limits to what is recoverable, and we will tell you honestly if your file is past them rather than taking your money and printing something soft.
Rebuilding a logo as clean vector artwork so it stays sharp at any size. This is the right answer for a logo pulled off a website, screenshotted, or photographed off a business card.
Clean, genuine transparency — including removing the halo edge that automatic tools leave behind. That halo is invisible on a white screen and glaringly obvious on a dark garment.
The fee is flat regardless of how many of the three you need. A file that needs upscaling and vectorising and a background removed is still $12.00.
Your original file is never altered.
This matters more than it sounds. Plenty of printers “helpfully” clean up customer artwork — auto-cropping it, removing what they think is a white background, resampling it, shifting the colours — and you find out when the shirts arrive looking wrong.
We do not do that. Your uploaded file is stored and printed exactly as you supplied it. If you order the artwork service, the result comes back as a separate print-ready file, and the original stays in your library untouched. If you ever want to go back to what you originally sent, it is still there, byte for byte.
Often, no. Here is how to tell.

- • Around 300 DPI at the size you want printed
- • Edges look crisp when you zoom to 100%
- • The file came from a designer as a print file
- • You exported it yourself from vector software
- • It is a screenshot, or was saved from a website
- • It is a photograph of a printed logo or a business card
- • It is a JPG and your garment is not white
- • It goes blurry or blocky when you zoom in
- • There is a faint outline around the artwork on a dark background
- • Someone sent it to you and nobody knows where it came from

What a good DTF file looks like.

How to add it.
The artwork service is an option on the file itself when you place an order — you pick which of the three you need, and the flat fee is added once per file. You do not need to contact us first, and you do not need to know which fix your file needs; if you are not sure, select what looks closest and we will apply what is actually required.
If a file turns out to be beyond saving — a logo at 200 pixels wide that needs to print at twelve inches, for example — we will tell you and refund the artwork fee rather than deliver something soft and hope you do not notice.

- How much is the artwork service?
- $12.00 flat per file. That one fee covers any combination of upscaling, vectorising and background removal — you are not charged three times for needing three things.
- Will you change my original file?
- No. Your original is stored and printed exactly as you uploaded it. When you order the artwork service you receive a separate print-ready file; the original stays untouched in your library either way.
- What resolution do I need?
- Around 300 DPI at the final print size. A 10-inch-wide print wants roughly 3000 pixels of width. Files are DPI-checked automatically on upload, so you will know before it prints rather than after.
- Can you remove a white background?
- Yes, and that includes cleaning up the halo edge that automatic background removers leave behind. A halo is invisible on a white screen and extremely visible on a black shirt.
- Do you charge for a file that is already print-ready?
- No. Standard print-ready files carry no artwork fee at all. The service is only charged when you ask for it.
- Can you redraw a logo I only have as a photo?
- Usually, yes — that is what vectorising is for. A photograph of a printed logo, or a screenshot from a website, can be rebuilt as clean artwork that stays sharp at any size. Send it and we will tell you honestly whether it is workable before you pay.
- How long does the artwork service take?
- Normally same day on files submitted with a standard order. If you are on a deadline, say so when you order rather than after — it changes how the job is queued.
